Today started way too early. I have a fasting blood test that I'm supposed to have, that I've been avoiding, so I thought I'd finally get up early and head over to Group Health lab in Bellevue. Lou, my sweet, tortured husband, volunteered his driving services, since I'm not even allowed to have tea. Well, I smelled the tea and caved, which was good, because I think Lou has the flu. The dumbass never got his flu shot.
So, Lou trundled back to bed, and I went to sewing, then writing, then putting in recipes, wash, rinse, repeat... I made breakfast for the troops somewhere around 1:00, just standard fare at the House of Winant. Then I sewed some more, then wrote some more, and... you're getting this, right?
Mom gave me a killer henna tattoo, I think in a bid to make me stop bouncing around. We put in "La Cucina" and all gathered in the den, where we all still are.
Out of nowhere, my uncle came back home with the largest Slurpee I have ever seen! Just for me! It takes me two hands, and it's pina colada! Awesome! We just sent him for ice! The many floods in our kitchen were stopped by cutting the tube to the icemaker, so we have to buy it now.
I think it's kolaches tomorrow, but there's a lot of writing I need to get done. I'll have Lou take photos of the aprons and the kolaches.
