In honor of the holiday that my people don't celebrate, I made povitica (poh-vi-TEET-sa), a traditional bread from Croatia that's a lot like a very thinly rolled cinnamon bun. Sideways. With chocolate. In other eastern European countries, it's known as Potica and babka.

Fun to make, sinful to enjoy. Chocolate on chocolate on sweet dough - life doesn't get much better, IMHO.
It looks difficult, but the bread machine makes it so easy.
